There are people out there who wish to do harm to others. Unfortunately, the Internet and the World Wide Web provide such people with unimaginable chances at getting a hold of sensitive information or just ruining your day. You can protect yourself by being wary of websites you visit, only provide reputable on-line stores with your valuable contact information, and take precautionary measures against malware and viruses.

By using antivirus, anti-malware, and anti-spyware software, you can keep dangerous software off of your computer. Software cannot be installed on your computer unless someone initiates the installation. If it doesn't get on your computer in the first place, neither you nor an attacker can install it on your system. Antivirus and anti-malware programs can help to keep dangerous software off of your PC, clean dangerous software from the PC if you do get infected, and even warn you of suspicious software or websites you may have downloaded it from. Many antivirus programs will also scan e-mail messages to make sure you don't receive e-mail messages with dangerous software or at the least warn you if one gets through.

Read on to find out what the different dangers there are out there and how you can protect yourself from them. To the left are some recommended programs the Techs at MorrisTS use on a regular basis.
